We are Carmelite friars that are in the Anglo-Irish Province.
We also have Nigeria and Australia under our Province as Carmelite Friar missionaries went to these locations to spread the word of God.
We are OCD friars
OCD stands for Order of Carmelite Discalced (shoeless) which is a renewal of the traditional Carmelite order and founded in 1642. It’s founders are St Teresa of Avila and St John of the Cross.

In the UK we have 3 houses:
- Boars Hill, Oxford
- Kensington, London
- Gerrards Cross

Contemplation.
Contemplation encompasses prayer, study, community, and service.
